摘要：In recent years, China's total agricultural output value has increased rapidly. Agricultural manufacturing equipment and artificial conditions also improved significantly and resulted in outstanding overall results. However, some factors still restrict the improvement and transformation of agricultural production efficiency. An analysis of agricultural production efficiency shows the comprehensive agricultural production capacity of China's provincial regions and reveals the allocation and utilization of agricultural resources in those areas. On the basis of existing research results on regional production efficiency, a 2D evaluation index system of input and output of production efficiency was constructed. This paper evaluated the production efficiency of 31 provinces and cities in China by using the comprehensive DEA evaluation method and analyzing the interprovincial DEA efficiency from the perspectives of efficiency and scale benefit. In addition, the input redundancy and output deficiency of the provinces were analyzed on the basis of the projection results. Results showed 19 non-DEA effective provinces among the 31 provinces, and 41.9% of provinces and cities exhibited decreasing returns to scale. Redundant agricultural employment and crop acreage were the main causes of the low efficiency of agricultural production in China. The current study results are helpful to the development of relevant policies on agricultural economy by related departments of the different regions.
