摘要：地理学哲学在地理学中以及科学哲学中一直未受重视,这对地理学理论发展与实践应用产生了消极的影响。文章分析了地理学哲学发展滞后的原因,在此基础上论述了地理学哲学研究的理论与实践意义及其性质,提出了地理学哲学研究的主要论域。哲学思想的创新是地理学创新的源泉,地理学迫切需要汲取哲学及其他学科的最新成果对地理学进行哲学的反思和观照,加强地理学哲学研究,促进地理学思想与理论的创新。
This article studies the nature, significance, and the discipline status of philosophy of geography, and discusses its major domain of study. Philosophy of geography is an interdisciplinary subject of philosophy and geog- raphy, a discipline to refine the geographical theories, methods and practical applications from a philosophical per- spective. It is the theoretical and ideological basis of geography. The domain of philosophy of geography includes ： ontology, epistemology, methodology, value theory, geography and society, and philosophical reflex of the frontier questions of geography. In geographical research, innovations of philosophical idea and thinking mode are the source of geographical innovation. Geography should absorb nutrition from the latest achievements in philosophy and other disciplines and should reflect on its own achievements to promote the innovation of its theories and ideas.
