摘要：恩格尔系数在测量一个家庭、一个地区、一个国家居民的贫困或富裕程度时被广泛运用。然而在目前,恩格尔系数在我国应用存在缺陷,原因是由诸如居民平均食物消费水平、居民消费观念、社会福利政策、消费品价格等变量的变化引起的。
Engle Coefficient is the rate of food expenditure in gross expenditure of family consumption. It is used to measure the poor and rich degrees of a family or an area or a country. But now Engle Coefficient's application has some deficiency in China. The main ransoms are as follows: the households' level of mean food consumption, the household's habit of consumption, social welfare policy, and the prices of consumption goods.
