摘要:A number of P2P applications have adopted a flooding mechanism to forward messages due to lack of routing table or knowledge of the topology networks. However, flooding brings about a lot of redundancy. The two standard protocol mechanisms of time-to-live (TTL) and unique message identification (UID) are used to govern the flooding operator. But the combination of mechanisms and heterogeneous latencies cause potentially devastating effect on the reachability of message broadcast, which can be called short-circuiting. This is because a ring exists between networks. Our solution is some descriptors designed to detect whether a ring is formed when a node builds a new connection. If a ring is formed by adding a connection, the connection should be drop out, and create another connection with its neighbor. But randomly choosing neighbor can cause a serious topology mismatch between P2P overlay network and physical underlying network. The location information of neighbor is considered by our
