摘要:笔者使用2012年覆盖31个省区市的调查数据,利用分位数回归的方法估算了不同教育阶段下的教育回报率,并在此基础上研究中国的收入差距。结果发现,近年中国的教育回报率总体有所提升,不同收入水平和不同教育阶段下劳动者的教育回报率差异显著,且随着教育阶段的提升,高收入阶层的教育回报率更高。这说明高等教育的扩张并不能有效抑制收入差距的扩大,而注重偏远地区的教育建设、普及义务教育对于调节居民收入差距更为有效。
Using the data from a survey covering 31 China's provinces in 2012,this paper estimates the return to education in different education stages with the method of quantile regression,and then analyzes the income distribution in China. The empirical evidences suggest that the rate of education return has increased in the recent years,but the gaps in the rate of education return among different income levels and different stages of education are still considerable. Furthermore,with the promotion of education stage,high-income people will achieve a higher education return. Therefore,in order to narrow the income gap effectively,the government should focus on the education development in less developed areas and the popularization of compulsory education,but the expansion of higher education.
