摘要：Traditional information service technologies can not supply mass scale access demand in multimedia education resource shared system. In order to solve this question, this paper presents a way that applies the grid technology into multimedia education resource shared system and designs a multi-tier architecture. We give the details of each functional module in every level and realize a VOD (video of demand) service prototype system based this architecture. The result of the test proves that the problem of resource sharing under the environment of education can be well solved by using grid and the bottle neck of limited storage capacity and processor performance can be removed. Furthermore, an application prototype was presented at the end of the paper to illustrate the utilization of the proposed framework.
